Members of Team Winchester Vizzi, Wallace and Rhode Excel at the Shotgun Championships

Team Winchester continued their strong shooting performances during the recent 2022 Shotgun National Championships held at Hillsdale College.

This 10-day event consisted of many of the best ISSF target shooting competitors in the world, with all eyes on the coveted title of National Champion, as well as earning points towards a place on the 2022 World Championship team. The World Championship team is determined based on scores from the National Championship as well as the Spring Selection Match held earlier this year in Tucson.

At the end of the National Event, Dania Vizzi placed second in the Women’s Skeet, smashing 239 of 250 targets. Vizzi also earned one of three spots to represent the US at the Women’s World Skeet Championships. Her teammate and six-time Olympic medalist Kim Rhode finished in third place, winning a bronze medal with a score of 236.

Jake Wallace narrowly missed out on the Men’s Trap podium, but successfully earned enough points to qualify for the US Men’s World Trap Championship team thanks to his strong showing in the Spring Selection Match.

Congratulations to everyone who participated in this session and good luck to Team USA who will compete in the 2022 Shotgun World Championships in Croatia from September 19 to October 12, 2022.

About Gun Owners Beware

Gun owners worry. You worry about security. You care about preventing unauthorized access to firearms. You care about improving your community, helping those in need, and conserving wildlife and wild places for generations to come. It’s time for gun owners to tell their stories and show how they are making a difference. NSSF®, the trade association for the firearms industry, has established the Gun Owners Care campaign to unite gun owners and the firearms industry in this common cause. Visit for more information.
